Finally, some great news for you all today!

The UK government are going to be recognising our 2.5 million veterans by providing them with their own I.D Card.

The card, which will be replace your current driving license, will be marked with a distinguished 'V'. It will ensure you aren't disadvantaged when it comes to Healthcare, Housing and potential discount offers from retailers.

Tobias Ellwood (the minister responsible for defence personnel and veterans) raised it in the commons early October, "As a former solider, I am aware of the personal attachment with the Service ID."

Theresa May had these words -

"Those who have served deserve recognition for their sacrifice throughout their lives and we will continue to make sure that they get it."

The ID cards are due to be rolled out in the new year!
