TIB Services - Resettlement Success

Former Royal Logistics Corps, 23 years

Richard's advice to service leavers: get lots of courses under your belt, particularly covering IT, Health & Safety and HGV.

He discovered TIB Services via the BFRS website and finds BFRS provides very helpful tools and fairs.

His Story:

Since retiring in 2008 Richard misses the army very much but has settled into civilian life. He is now supporting schools as a temporary relief caretaker with TIB Services. He gets great job satisfaction doing something for the community and especially helping children. His current assignment is only three miles from his home, so very commutable.

His first school has an excellent team who have been very welcoming, they are always there to help and advise when needed. The head (and all of the teachers and the cleaners) have commented that he is making a big difference to the school. Also a lot of the parents have praised him for tidying the school premises up.

Richard would recommend TIB to friends and former military colleagues as everything is well organised, online training is provided and the Enhanced DBS is arranged for you. You can choose freely which assignments you accept or decline around any other commitments you have.
