AACE – From Bronze to Silver

AACE – From Bronze to Silver

BFRS members, AACE, are delighted to have received the Silver Award from the ERS in recognition of their continued support to members of the Armed Forces Community.

AACE was founded by former RAF officer Rick Hussey in 1997 to provide specialist engineering consultancy services into the MOD. Since then, the business has grown into the AACE Group, consisting of two companies. AACE provides specialist technical services across air, land, and maritime environments, both into the MOD and industry. Allyance is a technical recruitment company placing skilled individuals on temporary and permanent roles across government departments and into industry.

The group is still owned by the Hussey family, who continue to promote the family ethos and values on which it was founded. AACE is fully engaged with and has participated in a variety of Service-leaver/Veterans organisations, events and activities resulting in a high percentage of veterans being employed by the company, currently over 80%.

Here is what AACE had to say:

“Most employees come from a military background, and with that comes an incredible work ethic and quiet determination, with talented individuals working as part of a team to get the job done, no matter what. The value of the military culture that is instilled within AACE, is one of the core strengths of the company and something that we do not sell or push as it speaks for itself in the services we deliver,” said Managing Director Lynette Hussey.

Mr Chris Broster, Senior Air Systems and C4I Engineer at AACE, and an active reservist, is pictured receiving the award from The Lord-Lieutenant of the City and County of Bristol - Mrs Peaches Golding OBE.
