If you are interested in a land-based course, Bridgwater & Taunton College Open Day is the perfect opportunity to find out more. With land-based courses including agriculture, animal management, arboriculture, countryside management, horticulture, equine, floristry and food technology, this event may give you the inspiration you have been searching for to take your next step.

So, whether you are an adult learner looking for a change of career, want to develop your career further, or are looking to start a degree-level qualification, Bridgwater & Taunton College are bound to have something for you. 

If you're interested in a career in the nuclear industry, the new National College for Nuclear will be open for tours and staff will be available to answer all your questions.​​

A team of highly experienced staff will be on-hand to answer your questions and facilities will be open for you to have a look around and enjoy.

Visit ​the Equine Yard at 11.30am to watch a choreographed riding display titled “War Horses” in remembrance of all the soldiers and horses who served and changed our world in WW1.

Head to ​the Animal Management Centre to visit all the animals they care for and learn from. You may even have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some animals, from fluffy rabbits to more scaly reptiles.

The Agricultural Innovation Centre is situated on ​their own farm and will be open for you to tour the facilities that students use to implement the latest innovative farming techniques.

You can also visit ​the working dairy farm to meet the resident cows and gain an insight into the industry.

Take some time to visit The Walled Gardens of Cannington. This beautiful facility allows you to not only to learn about the flowers but also to explore our new aquaponics centre where cutting-edge techniques are being used to grow the food of the future.

There will be generic information about the College available on the day, including talks with Jason Gunningham, Head of Land-based Studies at Bridgwater & Taunton College.
