Hemlow Improver Programme shortlisted for IWFM Impact Award!

We are pleased to announce that the Hemlow Improver Programme has been shortlisted as a finalist in the People Development and Talent Retention category in the IWFM Impact Awards!

As one of the most prestigious events in the workplace and facilities management industry, Hemlow are honoured to have been shortlisted amongst other amazing finalists.

They developed the Hemlow Improver Programme over ten years ago, to offer anyone at any age or stage in their life and profession the opportunity to build and develop a career in the engineering sector.

Unlike other traditional entry routes, it is not essential for candidates to have previous industry experience or specific qualifications. Instead, candidates are recruited based on their attitude and approach to work. Hemlow look to identify people with drive, motivation and a passion to learn.

The Improver programme guarantees an extensive training schedule carried out over an 18-month period followed by the opportunity of a progressive career within Hemlow.

Chris Ward, Managing Director at Hemlow said:

“We are thrilled that the Hemlow Improver Programme has been recognised alongside so many other incredible initiatives. We place our people at the heart of our business and take their development seriously. We are proud to have built a culture where people grow with us and stay with us.

The Hemlow Improver Programme provides a route into the industry that allows anyone from any walk of life to enter into the sector. By removing any barriers we have seen some incredible talent come into the business and subsequently into the industry”.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on 17 October.
