Linbrooke Services is a leading Network Engineering solutions company operating throughout the UK. Our services include Telecommunications, Power and Electrical, Security Systems, Civil Engineering and Training for mainline rail and other transport networks.

Due to successful growth, we are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer (Electrical) to join our company.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all allocated electrical and power services are managed and maintained, from concept through implementation.

Taking a lead role on client projects, you will be heavily involved with project design and development, being fully responsible for all electrical install as well as ensuring project delivery to time and budget constraints.

As the project lead for electrical systems, you will coordinate all work package specific tasks, and will play an important collaborative role with key stakeholders and other internal departments. You will also be responsible for the management of site activities and of consultant subcontractors.

Your areas of expertise will include, Low Voltage AC Installations including DNO Supplies, Signalling Power Supplies including PSP's SSP's and ASP's and Points Heating.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to contract sites in and around the UK.


-The role will involve working as part of a growing team producing work for the power and rail industries. Work will involve engineering design/advice and will include but not be limited to the following:
-Manage the operational delivery of electrical works into the rail sector, Form EA/EB design through implementation
-responsible for testing & certification activities
-reading design specifications and technical drawings;
-researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales;
-conducting tests;
-recording, analysing and interpreting test data;
-proposing modifications and retesting products;
- qualifying the final product or system;
-servicing and maintaining equipment;
-Act as Project Engineer on designated projects as required;
-Forecast and plan field engineering resource;
-Monitor and manage hours worked and authorise exceedences for employees and contractors in accordance with client requirements;
-Ensure required materials, tools and other resources are available;
-Capture and record all project changes

-Qualified Electrical Engineer
-Educated to HND / Degree Level
-Experience of large scale projects
-Proven Industry & testing experience
-17th Edition
-City & Guilds 2391-10 Level 3
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
