AFF changes lanes for Catterick roadshow

Date: Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 2:52pm

The Army Families Federation (AFF) is to host a roadshow with a twist this October and you’re invited to pop along.

The Catterick roadshow takes place on 8 October, 10am to 2pm, at St Aidan’s Church Hall, Catterick garrison.

Celebrating spouses

AFF put a shout out on social media for talented spouses with a passion for business, and have chosen a great selection of small business stalls for the event – perfect for a spot of early Christmas shopping.

From silver jewellery to scarves, small gifts to soft furnishings and books to beauty – AFF is urging families to come along, purse in-hand, and see what there is to offer.   The event is supported by solicitor’s Irwin Mitchell, who will also have a stand on the day.

First steps to success

Thinking of starting your own small business? AFF has invited representatives from the University of Wolverhampton to come along and talk about their FREE business start-up course for Service spouses.   This could be the perfect time for you to take that first step to business success.

AFF Director UK Jill Baines said: “We are very excited with the new format for the roadshow which has a strong focus on business and enterprise – a celebration of the many wonderful talents our spouses have.

We are still keen for families to come along and get the answers they need to any range of questions. With the recent surge of housing enquiries and issues, our Housing Specialist Cat Calder will be there on the day to take your questions and help you out.”

Got a question?

If you’ve got a question, or an issue you need help with, AFF will have a question box at the event ready to receive your enquiries. Place your question in the box and you could win a £50 Boden voucher.
