Teeside University - Skills and Training Sponsor
Make your Military experience count towards a higher education qualification.
The School of Science & Engineering and Teesside University Business School offer an inspiring portfolio of development opportunities designed to enhance and accredit the professional experience and skills of Military personnel to enable a smooth transition to a Civilian career.
Our work-based studies portfolio is an opportunity to acknowledge skills, learning and experience into a recognised qualification. It is possible for students to achieve up to 70% of the credits needed to achieve the degree from their professional experience and skills. Courses offered can be taken at honours or master’s level in business management or leadership and management.
Major Lawrence Crabb, who is taking the BA (Hons) Business Management, values the work-based studies approach. He said, "Although I had the leadership and management experience, I didn’t have the academic qualifications to match those personal and professional skills and I had begun to think about life after the Army. The work/study challenge is not as demanding as I first thought because your learning comes from your experiences through work and life. I wouldn't have been able to secure a place on the graduate teaching programme had I not completed the degree at Teesside. The degree gave me the confidence to embark on this new career."
Teesside University open learning in engineering is the world's leading provider of high quality flexible education with a comprehensive range of engineering disciplines available at HNC and HND.
A full range of traditional engineering and management degrees and postgraduate programmes are available on a full- or part-time basis. Come along to the event on 4th September to talk to us about finding the right course for you.
Major Lawrence Crabb, BA (Hons) Business Management.
