Information for Exhibitors at Tidworth's 2012 Event

Exhibiting at Tidworth is an excellent opportunity for your organisation to meet and interact with highly skilled and specialised ex-Services personnel and receive local and national press attention.

The events bring together organisations looking to recruit, train and support Service leavers as well as franchise opportunities and others wanting to engage with the Service leaver market. The events are organised to a very high standard and all attendees take away a professional event guide which includes details of all exhibitors for their future reference.

For organisations interested in exhibiting please visit our Tidworth 2012: Book your Stand page.

Sponsorship
We also offer organisations the opportunity to become Corporate Sponsor of the event. If you choose to be our sponsor, your branding will appear on all of the event’s promotional material, including all direct mail and email marketing targeted at ex-service personnel and service leavers. Additionally, your marketing will reach all 14,000 of BFRS's members.

You will also have the prime position stand at the event and will receive significant coverage in the event guide, media relations and on the virtual event.

Advertising
We produce a high quality event guide to accompany each event which is distributed to all attendees. We have advertising opportunities within the guide and for an additional cost, we offer an advert design service. View the previous event guide. Organisations interested in advertising within the Tidworth 2012 Event Guide can find the options and prices in the Tidworth booking form.

Event Promotion
BFRS is highly proactive in our marketing activities to generate attendees. Our promotional plan involves:

  • Liaising with community facilities, such as Hives to reach the local and national service leavers and their families. We already have a number of organisations actively pushing out the event details to attendees.
  • Working with Resettlement Officers and Garrison Commanders to ensure the promotional information filters through the ranks.
  • Having a complete schedule of media activity targeted at both local and regional press – including online, newspaper, television and radio coverage.
  • Using the BFRS website to promote forthcoming events and exhibitor lists.
  • Directly promoting the event to our 14,000+ members.

Exposure Potential
This year, more than 500 attendees from the Armed Forces community are expected at the event. With the Ministry of Defence recently having announced 54000+ new redundancies by 2015, these attendees will have a very real interest in finding employment, training and resettlement support.

To achieve the maximum turn out we will be promoting the event to our 14,000+ BFRS members as well as across a huge catchment area of military communities that include Tidworth and Bulford Garrison, Perham down, Shipton Bellinger, Ludgershall, Upavon, Middle Wallop, Netheravon, Larkhill, Amesbury, Warminster, Salisbury, Collingbourne Ducis and Andover.

A stand at the BFRS Virtual Career Fair is also included in all exhibitor packages. This is an online version of the event which is accessible by anyone, anywhere in the world and will provide you with online exposure.

Exhibitors will also be able to communicate with BFRS’s 14,000 members’ community.

Media Attention
Last year’s Tidworth event attracted more than 500 attendees and a guest list of VIPs and dignitaries. This captured the nation’s attention as a BBC outside broadcast team reported on the event for national television. This year we have already confirmed that BFBS Radio (military radio) presenter Shirley Swain will be reporting live from the event.

If you choose to be an event sponsor, you will be at the heart of all media attention.
