City & Guilds 2886 Deliverers of Conflict Management Training Course

Course Title
City & Guilds 2886 Deliverers of Conflict Management Training Course

Category
Security;Close Protection/Bodyguards/Intelligence

Description
The 1886 qualification has now been replaced by the new 2886 qualification. 2886 is an updated version of 1886 but they are essentially the same.
Workplace violence and aggression is a growing concern in many industries including those in the public sector. Where the risk of workplace violence exists, employers have a legal and moral duty of care to provide adequate training and resources commensurate with the risk that staff face in their line of work.
This has lead to a nationaly recognised qualification being developed in order to meet the HSE requirements and therefore meeting the employers duty of care in providing Conflict Management Training to staff. Over previous years there have been many variations such as Violence and aggression training or conflict resolution.
Who is the course for?
The purpose of this City and Guilds 2886 (formerley 1886) award is to provide trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to deliver effective, realistic and relevant training in Conflict Management or Conflict Resolution. It provides a recognised qualification for those who want to train others to deal with any types of violence in the workplace. It is a qualification that will equip you to train a wide range of workers, security operators, door supervisors, NHS employees and all those who interact face-to-face with fellow workers and the public.
The course is designed to give experienced or new trainers hints and tips in preparing scenarios both for conflict management and indeed any other type of training. Scenario based training is often a neglected training tool due to many people having had bad experiences of scenario/role play in the past but we aim to demonstrate how this can become an enjoyable part of any training package for both student and trainer.
City and Guilds 2886 (Formerly 1886) Award is suitable for those who work, or want to work as trainers of:
• Security Guards and Public Area Personnel
• Customer Service Positions
• Bailiffs
• Door Supervisors
• Event and Entertainment Personnel
